Three nights in a row squatters in Leipzig have engaged in fights with the police. While BLM are Marxists under the hood, these people are open communists who fight property. And, of course, they do so by occupying property. They also happen to hate gentrification, but they may postpone squatting until after renovations are completed. The houses are just unused anyway, or renovated, which is worse in their view because it makes the neighbourhood expensive. Why are you so critical? Who is it hurting anyway outside of the owner who is losing his retirement income or the businesses that would profit from a “gentrification” of the hood.
